The men’s tennis team played a back-to-back game for the first time this season.

Cerritos hosted Palomar College on Feb. 6 as they defeated Palomar 9-0.

The Falcons will host the next game at home against Riverside College on Feb. 10 at 2 p.m.

• Starting to play doubles first the Falcons no.1 partners were Mark Antoniuk and Agustin Lombardi won 8-2.
• No.2 doubles were played by Henry Ayesiga and Antonio Torrebella-Clark played a good game only giving up one point winning 8-1.
• No.3 Milos Zoric and Mathieu David shutout their opponents winning 8-0.

• After the doubles break the singles game started with no.1 Antonio Torrebella-Clark who won his match in two sets winning 6-1,6-2.
• No.2 Agustin Lombardi won his match defeated his opponent 6-2,6-1.
• No.3 Henry Ayesiga won his match in with the score 6-3,6-3.
• No.4 Mark Antoniuk defeated Palomars no.4 with the score 6-4,6-2.
• No.5 Mathieu David won his match 6-1,6-2. Milos Zoric defeated his opponent 6-1, 6-4.

Amadi Kagoma, the no.1 in singles, did not play due to soreness in his Achilles heel, which he suffered in the game against Irvine Valley.

Head coach Alvin Kim said, “It’s hard to play back to back matches and we stored a little confidence from yesterday.”

Kim added for the next game against Riverside, “Is an old foe and we are ready for Riverside and we are not very fond of them and we will be ready for them.”

Mark Antoniuk, business major, said, “It was much easier than yesterday we played really good with my partner (Agustin Lombardi) in doubles.”

Antoniuk added for the next game against Riverside, “We are going to practice and we are going to prepare and show our best game.

Agustin Lombardi, kinesiology major, said, “It was kind of easy Palomar is not that strong and everyone of us played very good.”

Lombardi added for the next game, “Riverside is a tough team we are going going to give our best.”
