Cerritos College professors were treated to lunch Thursday, April 23 as they celebrated the 2014-2015 Outstanding Faculty Awards.
A special video packaged played with both faculty and students congratulating Dr. Frank Mixson for receiving the Most Outstanding Faculty Award.
He has two PHDs and has helped the college implement Student Learning Outcomes (SLO’s) across the campus.
He thanked Dr. Lacy for her work to the college and the confidence she gave him. He also thanked his fellow faculty.
Mixson is an English professor that has been teaching at Cerritos College for 17 years.
He said, “It’s kind of overwhelming… I feel moved honestly. You know there’s lots of people on this campus that work very hard and they didn’t get appreciated.
