The Career Services Office hosted an informations session on job opportunities for Enterprise rent- a -car.
Christopher Hall, a computer science major, said that he saw a flyer and decided to come on Wednesday, April 20th.
“I’m not going to be taking any classes in the summer so I’m trying to as many avenues as I can to find a job. I saw they’re looking for college kids and I decided to check it out.”
Guest speaker Deborah Meredith went over some history and values of the company, as well as job opportunities and internships.
Enterprise is one of the largest recruit for college graduates.
They are a family owned and operated business and circulate the largest sleet of passenger vehicles in the world.
Enterprise owns more than 1.7 million vehicles and is a largest buyer/seller of vehicles with more than 9 thousand locations.
Work hour shifts are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m to 4 p.m or 10 a.m to 6 p.m., every other Saturday, and one Sunday of the month.
When it comes to hiring, the company looks for customer service and sales experience on their resume.
“For the internship program and or full time we are definitely looking for customer service and sales experience in your past. I’m looking for interaction with customers,” stated Meredith.
Enterprise is offering a summer paid internship program for 8-10 weeks, June through July.
The program includes hands on training in all aspects of the company including customer service, sales, and marketing.
The internship also gives each intern a chance to win an extra $1,000 in a group project that could be incorporated to the business if chosen as winner.
To apply for the internship you must be a graduating college senior or junior heading toward senior year.
After the internship is over part time or full time jobs can be offered.
Enterprise hopes that once people start as a management trainee, they would have the opportunity to move up the ladder and get promoted to higher positions based on performance.

· Part time service agent positions and home city operations washing and driving vehicles
· Higher staff accountants into regional and corporate headquarters.

Clara Ross- Jones, career counselor, says the Career Services offer other resources to students.
“We help students explore in terms of looking for a major or trying to identify a career we also look for them in building a resume, interview techniques we bring in employers to talk about different opportunities they have.”
