As the holidays approach, people begin to lose their minds as stores start to advertise the early sales, especially on Black Friday. Black Friday is just another event that shows how crazy people will get for a good deal and isn’t worth wasting you’re time and resulting in possible injury.
So many people buy into the hype of Black Friday, whether because of the economy or just because they love the adrenaline rush of waiting in line and beating the crowd of people to get what you want.
Unfortunately, some people take Black Friday way too seriously.
According to Ranker.com, here are the top 13 most brutal Black Friday injuries/deaths recorded from previous Black Fridays:
- Trampled to death by stampede
- Pregnant woman miscarried
- Paralyzed
- Old woman trampled
- Doing the wave with flat screen televisions
- Shooting
- Shoving
- Fighting
- Arrested by security guards
- Getting kicked out of the store
- Gift-certificate frenzy
- Distribution frenzy
- Pregnant woman loses her wig
Although the deals maybe good, are they really worth the safety risk?
Though some are civilized during the shopping frenzy, others become hostile, taking out shoppers like it’s a football game and they want the ball.
It’s just stuff people. Everyone is materialistic in some way but does a day after we reflect on the things we have need to be set aside to show how far we’re willing to go for the things that we want?
If you feel the need to jump on the bandwagon with the rest of the crazy deal grabbers, wait until Cyber Monday where you can buy what you want online for a good price without the lines and constant push and shove by other shoppers.
Either that or take a large group and some protective gear with you to the stores.
