The debut of Cerritos College Falcons guard Anthony Holliday was spoiled on Nov. 15 as the Cuyamaca College Coyotes of El Cajon, Calif. reigned victorious, 88-76.
In defeat, the Falcons dropped to 0-2 on the season, receiving 19 points from Holliday, and another 18 from freshman guard Kevin Conrad.
However, there was no stopping Coyotes sophomore guard Harry Brazelton, whose 28 points on 10-of-14 shooting led the cause for Cuyamaca College.
The team as a whole shot 54.9 percent compared to 36.8 percent for Cerritos College.
In the second day of the Irvine Valley Tournament on Nov. 16, the Cerritos College Falcons will play the College of the Canyons Cougars, who hold a record of 2-1.
