Brief: K. Gabayeron wins three swim events

Katherine Gabayeron won three events Friday as she helped lead the Cerritos College women’s swimming team to a pair of victories over El Camino College and Long Beach City College.

In the 200-yard medley relay, it was Cerritos College leaping out in front by one second over Long Beach City College, led by the freshman trio of Carla Harvey, Raquel Gabayeron and Angela Covarrubias.

Up next for Cerritos College is the Cuesta Invitational at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, Calif. March 8-9, at 8 a.m. on both days.
