Glendale College is where basketball head coach Russ May and company plan to keep the win streak alive this week after the Cerritos College Falcons won three straight games to claim the championship in the Grossmont Tournament.
“It provides us with some confidence and momentum and we just want to be able to keep it going and continue to get better”, according to May.
Cerritos College has not faced the Glendale Vaqueros since the 2011-2012 season, which go into Friday’s game with an identical record of the Falcons this season at (3-4).
The head coach described how he prepares his team for the game.
“Well go out and scout them (Glendale) and call other coaches and get some notes but
our primary focus is on us and I think we should do what were supposed to do instead of spending to much time on our opponent.”
Shooting Forward, Andrew Torres, explains which elements of their strategy that they are working on.
“We just continue to over the press break because that’s what was giving us a hard time and go over our offense and know where to be.”
Tip off is set for Friday at 5 p.m.
