A workshop intended to prepare medical students for taking the Medical College Admissions Test, commonly known as the “MCAT” was held in the Teleconference center of Cerritos College on April 11.
The workshop was instructed by Cerritos College Dean of Science, Carolyn Chambers.
“We talked about the timeline and steps for application to medical school, as well as examples of actual test questions.” Chambers said.
In the workshop, students received help with the four aspects of the test which are biological sciences, physical sciences, verbal reasoning, and writing samples.
According to Chambers, a similar workshop was held on the Cerritos College campus during the 2010-2011 school year.
The administration is planning on continuing the workshop annually.
