Cerritos College students having trouble balancing family and school, can attend a workshop that will help students better manage those areas this Thursday.
Child Development instructor, Angela Beck will be presenting the four keys to balancing family and school workshop.
The workshop will go over time management, study skills, building a support system, and finding quality childcare.
Beck commented on the reason for the workshop, saying, “students just have so much going these days, everybody works, comes to school, and has a family. It kind of goes along with the iFalcon habits of mind, just how to be organized and kind of manage yourself to be successful.”
Students, staff, and faculty are all welcome to attend the workshop.
Beck went on to say, “hopefully I’ll be able to give them some good ideas on how to get organized. I’m a working parent myself, I’ve got two kids, I’ve got other stuff in my life, so hopefully ill be able to share what worked for me.”
She also said “we’ll do some brainstorming and kind of help people get focused and prioritize what needs to get done in their in their life.”
The workshop will be on Thursday, in SS 139, from 2 – 3 p.m.
