Sophomore quarterback Brandon Denker heads this year’s list of the Cerritos College football players to be named to the National Division Northern Conference team by the Southern California Football Association.
The dual-threat Denker has thrown for more than 1800 yards and 25 touchdowns this season while rushing for more than 380 yards and a team-leading seven touchdowns, earning the conference’s Offensive Most Valuable Player Award.
Head coach Frank Mazzotta was named the conference’s Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season. He has now won the award four times in his 34 season as head coach.
The Falcons (7-3) will face Palomar College in the Southern California Football Association Bowl on Saturday at Escondido High School at 5 p.m. in the first round of the playoffs.
