Cerritos College will host an event on the United States constitution and pay Amish to Sept. 11’s 10 year Anniversary on Sept. 12.
The event will be from 2 to 3 p.m. and will be located at the Falcon Square Amphitheatre.
Holly Bogdanovich, director of student activities said that campus police officers, fire fighters from Norwalk fire department, and the National Guard, and Red Cross will participate on the event.
Bogdanovich also said “This event purpose is to honor the 10th year anniversary of Sept. 11 attack and celebrate the birth of United States constitution.”
Associated Students of Cerritos College Vice President Julian Del Real- Calleros and English major explained that it will be encouraged for students and people attending on the event be wearing red white and blue.
He also said the Cerritos College orchestra will be performing our national anthem and god bless America.
Calleros also added that a fire trucks and fire hydrazine from New York ground zero will be presented for people at Cerritos College.
He also added the event will have guest speakers and said “the 7th 8th 9th we would be passing American flags to students to show patriotisms.”
Calleros also said “ we want Cerritos [College] students to get involved, to learn a lot and pay respect for the men women in uniform.”
Another person volunteering on the event is business administration major Danny Faragoso; he explains that he will help out on passing American flags around campus.
Faragoso also added that he is happy Cerritos College recognizes the anniversary birth of United States constitution.
“Its good to see our school involve in such activities like celebrating our constitution birth and paying tribute to our men women in uniform.”
Faragoso also added that he hopes Cerritos College students learn to honor our country more than they do and acknowledge the sacrifice made for our freedom.
