Jidvish Mehta, business accounting major, was appointed as commissioner of student services and Michael Barrita, political science major, was appointed as commissioner of external affairs, at the Senate meeting on Oct. 25.
Mehta was appointed as commissioner of student activities.
He could not be reached for comment.
Barrita was approved as commissioner of external affairs.
He replaces Gredma Casasola who stepped down because of school and club activities.
Casasola will take on the lighter role of assistant of the commissioner of external affairs.
Casasola said that, after speaking to him, Barrita seems capable to take on the responsibility.
For his part, Barrita said that he is looking forward to working with Casasola and that both have an agenda of what they would like to accomplish.
