Knott’s Berry Farm’s annual Halloween Haunt brings many people to experience a terrifying good time, but it also brings a chance for some Cerritos College students to get first hand experience with a trade they most desire.
Each year, a group of students who are enrolled in the stage make-up courses offered at Cerritos, are invited to Knott’s Scary Farm to assist professionals with putting on the faces of the many monsters that roam around the theme park attempting to scare the park’s visitors.
Susan Watanabe, theatre arts instructor, said that Knott’s often ends up hiring some students from Cerritos College for the Halloween Haunt events and also end up keeping many of those students for their Christmas events as well.
