Led by quarterback Jeffery Fisher’s three touchdown passes, the Cerritos College football team defeated College of the Desert, 42-27, Saturday night .
The Falcons are now 6-2 overall and 3-1 in conference action and if they can we the next two games they will be assured of at least a tie for the top spot in the National Division’s Central Conference
“Destiny is in our hands,” head coach Frank Mazzotta said.
This was the first of three big games to wrap up the season and the next is against Mt. SAC, who is currently ranked No. 1 in the country next Saturday night at 7 p.m.
The defense caused three turnovers and held the Roadrunners’ offense in check in the first half by not giving up a point until there were just minutes left in the first half.
“We got more physical and beat them to the punch all night on defense,” defensive end Ryan Davis said.
