This century brought the developing Internet and with it the most successful stars today. Names such as Antoine Dodson, Justin Bieber, and now the most recent Ted Williams have shown exactly how popular a little video uploaded on the Internet can be.
For one reason or another, the percentage of people who dislike these stars rise, but they may be the reason why they stay that much longer.
Now some would like these names to disappear as quickly as they came, but the longer they stay relevant the more they reveal to their fans that anything is possible.
Those who are still unaware by the power of the Internet, just do not understand that this may very well be the average person’s only ticket to stardom.
How many talented people end up not making it for one reason or another.
Or why are so many people forced to get into the corporate world, instead of doing what they dreamed of doing their whole lives.
Finally consider the economy and how tough it is for anyone to move up the “corporate ladder.”
One individual who is not worrying about moving up that ladder is Antoine Dodson. He has made a name for himself with his news interview that later was mixed into a song “The Bed Intruder,” which has gotten over 32 million hits on the web.
He has since, made numerous appearances on late night television shows such as George Lopez’s (Lopez Tonight).
His official Antoine Dodson costume was one of the top sellers for Halloween and now there are rumors of him starting his own record label, which gives Dodson the power to be his own boss.
Justin Bieber is also on his way to owning his own record label, due to him being discovered by manager Scooter Braun through YouTube.
Now he is one of the biggest names in the music industry and with the help of millions of pre-teens all over the world, this Canadian native will stay on top for years to come.
Which will be greatly helped by a 3D film that is going to launch Feb. 11.
Someone who also gained stability as an Internet sensation is Ted Williams, who started the year as a homeless man with no idea where his golden voice can take him.
Thanks to the power of the Internet he is now employed and the official voice of Kraft’s Mac-N-Cheese.
Although he has recently went to rehab for drug and alcohol addiction, his internet success is the only reason he is now able to go to rehab at all.
This quick ticket to fame may be one of the pesky trends of this generation, but for as many people it bothers there are just as many who gain from it. Even if it is solely for entertainment reasons, at least it is free and we have the choice to view it.
