With recent construction on the Cerritos College campus, there are going to be many new benefits coming the students’ way.
One of the additions to the school is the new parking layout currently underway.
There are a few concerns about the new parking structure still—Is it enough?
Will the construction lead to more hassle?
With enrollment at an all-time high and a budget cut cutting classes left and right, there is no doubt that parking will be even more of an issue this fall semester than before.
One of the remedies for the lack of parking is street parking.
This, however, is only going to help for a limited few, and something must be done—and depending on who you ask, something is.
When asked if the new structure will help smooth things out, Cerritos College student, Eddie Garcia thinks, “Even with a new parking lot and everything, it’s not going to make a difference. There’s just too many people.”
Unfortunately, the construction workers refused to comment on the official deadline on all construction—as well as the campus police—but there is student speculation that all should be done by July 2010, according to Cerritos College online website map of the school.
Only time will tell if this will help the college students or complicate their lives even more.
