In-N-Out paid a visit to campus on March 17, for Hoe Down Days but in addition to the usual “Welcome Week”, free double-doubles, a bag of chips and soda, students were also asked to sign a petition.
Felipe Grimaldo, ASCC president, passed around a petition to send to six legislations to suspend imposed penalties for meeting full time faculty criteria obligations to prevent having to pay a 60-66,000 penalties for each as a result of not hiring 19-21 required full time faculty members.
Four assembly men and two state senators of California are to receive the petitions by hand.
Whether students preferred to sign or not, there was still a burger waiting.
Business major, Daniel Aguilar, wasn’t up to the challenge, “I’m not gonna get In-N-Out today because the line is way too long, I don’t have my sticker for my ID and they don’t have the fries.”
Maricurz Preciado, interior design major, said, “The line for In-N-Out was worth the wait because it’s free.”
Another student who had already waited for a bite in the action was Jocelin Pena, psychology major, added, “It really was worth the wait to get the burgers because they were still warm. It’s not like they were cold and it didn’t really take that long. Actually, it was pretty fast.”
Christopher Chavez, engineering major, was in agreement and said,”The line was pretty long but it went pretty quick. The food was pretty good.”
