Are you a psych major? Enjoy community service? Then join the Psychology Club or even become a Psi Beta Honor Society Member.
The Psychology Club meets every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to noon in the Social Science Building, Room 215, to discuss their next community events.
One event the Psychology Club is discussing is community service at Community Hospital in Norwalk.
The club also invites special guests to give lectures to interested members who wish to seek careers in psychology.
Valerie Streeter, an active member, said the club has received the Best Service award for four years at their national convention.
To become a member of Psychology Club, simply visit a meeting. To become a member of the Psi Beta Honor Society, students must have a GPA of at least 3.0, be taking one current course in psychology and 12 units, and complete an application.
A lifetime membership in the Psi Beta Honor Society costs $50. Members receive a certificate of membership, a membership card and a gold-cased pen, and can purchase honor gear for commencement.
