“It’s always about winning state, ” said men’s tennis head coach Alvin Kim.
Even with arguably the best teams in the state being in the same division, Kim is not ready to sell his team short.
The South Coast Conference went under a restructure resulting in three of the top five teams competing against the Cerritos College men’s tennis team.
“Winning conference will be a challenge,” Kim said.
The Falcons will have all key returners with an addition to incoming freshman, Tim Lee, who will be added to the top three starting line-up.
“[Lee] gives us more depth,” Kim said.
Also returning is doubles team, Doug Edwards and Jason Wall.
The duo finished second in state after reaching the state championship match for the first time in school history.
