In her previous two songs, she has expressed being into a guy with “Hung Up” and not accepting his apology in “Sorry” but now, Madonna is singing a different tune in what is the last commercial single, “Get Together” to be released from her multi-platinum CD “Confessions on a Dance Floor” (Warner Bros. Records).
The song, which was first performed by the Queen of Pop on the British program Parkinson, in September of last year, is a sentimental dance-oriented ballad to those people who are in a meaningful relationship.
The song is about a person who has finally met the right person and what to know where the relationship will goes in the future.
“Do you believe in love at first sight/It’s an illusion, I don’t care/Do you believe I can make you feel better/Too much confusion, come on over here,” Madonna sings.
At first listen, the singer’s soothing voice feels as those she would perform this song at the House of Blues, not in a major stadium.
Fans will appreciate that fact that this song appealing thanks in large part to her producer Stuart Price (aka Jacques Lu Cont) keyboard emphasis.
Madonna continues to know what fans will be drawn to as far as music is concerned and with the help of past album producers (William Orbit, Mirwais Ahmadzai, and Price) she doesn’t disappoint with this yet-to-be released single.
In addition, the song’s chorus is also alluring, “Can we get together/I really, I really wanna be with you/Come on check it out with me/I hope you, I hope you feel the same way too,” and with all what man (or woman) can resist not talking to those you love the most.
Madonna, has had a way of connecting with fan with her music and it has been unfortunate that U.S. radio has not been playing her music more often and from the last two songs, and this upcoming single.
In other words, whatever you think of her,(she is a role model or not) she is and will continue to do what she does best: sing, produce and write music.
Your ear is not deceiving you because this song in particular will have you not only melting your heart but, also dancing in a dance hall.
After 23 years her continued success the has created a fanbase that keeping growing and will continue to do so.
