The Cerritos College Blood Drive and the Cosmetology club’s Hair and Fashion show were two up-coming club activities discussed at the Inter-Club Council meeting last Thursday.
“Cerritos College was the top community college when it came down to giving blood,” said Robert Torrez of the Red Cross.
He went on to say that last year Cerritos College saved thousands of lives, and for their efforts Cerritos College will be receiving the Platinum Award from the Red Cross.
On September 16, an event will take place to educate students on the real meaning of Mexican Independence Day, said Maria Ventura, sociology major and MEChA club president.
Rickie Orozco, cosmetology, explains that the event will show the “edgier side of the cosmetology club.”
