The student center is really lacking when it comes to quality and quantity on food choices. Oh No Tokyo, Chicago harvs, Taco Bell and Frantone’s are the only on choices our student center provides and frankly the quality of these places isn’t up to par here let’s break them down:
Oh No Tokyo: the only thing you can get there is either sushi or a chicken bowl however sushi isn’t something one wants to eat everyday. Also the chicken bowl is delicious but come on give us some variety! Perhaps if one wanted Asian cuisine why not have a panda express or other restaurant that provides a choice of dining.
Frantones: The food is terrible, no flavor whatsoever. The spaghetti plate makes one want to never eat spaghetti again. They lack the Italian taste that makes such food a staple here in the U.S. they over price their food however for the quality of food no one wants to pay that price. That might be a reason the workers have so much leisure time to chat with people because they don’t have that many customers
Chicago Harvs: now this place has really good food (well their cheeseburgers are questionable) the only problem with them is there prices are a little ridiculous not a lot of people want to pay four bucks for a hamburger or five bucks for a chicken sandwich. It also takes a half hour just to get your food so if you’re on a lunch break you might not wan to visit them.
Taco Bell: this place is pretty good however I feel like I can go to an off campus location for lower priced food.
If it’s not bad enough half these places don’t except credit/debit cards considering that the financial aid cards provide the money that a lot of students use to purchase the food. So in order to buy from that dining area you must go to the ATM provided when you first come into the student center and have a 2.75 fee applied when you draw money. The only fee free ATM is at Rodger’s sandwiches across the street so if you are a plastic carrying person you can go there to get money drawn for free but with the quality of food offered on campus you might as well pick something up from Rodger’s and go on with your day
