During tough times, it is a great to show that people are trying to take care of one another.
On April 21 to April 23, the Math Club held a fundraiser to help with Su Casa in front of library.
The club members volunteered on days they could best help.
Su Casa, according to Ana Garibuy, the club president, is a community organization that helps women and children from domestic abuse.
“It’s a good event. We’re not getting any money for this,” stated Peter Choi, the vice president of the math club.
The club sold all sorts of books from adventure stories to romance novels.
There were also stuffed animals for a reasonably low price.
“The books were pretty much donated to us,” Garibuy shared.
The club earned at least $300 for the fundraiser.
Choi shared that the Math Club has been helping Su Casa for years.
“Hopefully, we’ll do more fundraisers like this one to help others,” Choi says.
