The contest was open entry, and was divided into five different categories:

- Group.
The judging of the contest was based on cheers from the audience, the louder the cheer the better the costume.
Winners of the costume contest in different categories were:

- Scariest- Brian Wittig as Ghost Rider,
- Funniest- Sherman Pascoe as a T-Rex and
- Group- Moniqe Meza and Fritzy Torres as Indians.
After the contest the music continued on and people gathered around to talk to the contestants.
All about campus were stands for Halloween, and what else then to sell treats.
S.P.I.C.E. Club was selling sugary treats outside of the library, in honor of the Halloween spirit, and to raise money for the club.
Caroline Ocampo, S.P.I.C.E. Club member said, “I think they did a good job on the costume contest.”
One of the contestant thought that the costume contest could have been better.
Abel Osrio, music major, said, “I think there should be more events, I like how everyone is into school spirit, and they should be more informed, like posts in classrooms, and announcements over loud speakers.”
He continued, “I wanted to get into it. I wanted to fit in.”
A successful school event screams school spirit and offers another opportunity to make new friends.
