“The Company, ” a musical based on a book by George Furth and originally produced and directed on Broadway by Harold Prince, is being produced by the Cerritos College Theater Department in May.
“The Company” is about a man named Bobby who can not decide whether or not to marry and is being pressured by those around him into choosing a life of being “sorry-grateful.”
With the help of a group of five couples, each dysfunctional in their own manner, Bobby weighs the pros and cons of marriage by observing the lives and experiences of his married friends.
Direction is by Patrick Pearson, vocal direction by Christine Lopez, musical direction by Hector Salazar, and choreography by Imara Quinones.
Tickets will be on sale online soon for May 1, 2, 7. 8, 9 at 8 p.m. and May 10 at 2 p.m. at www.cerritos.edu/theatre.
Tickets may be purchased at the box office between 10 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
