The night consisted of fun music, food, colorful face paintings and costumes, and most of all, beautiful altars.
Presented by El Centro Cultural de Mexico in Santa Ana, Noche de Altares, or Night of Altars, is a community-based Day of the Dead celebration held on Nov. 2 where families, students, local business and community organizations come together to look at altars, grab a bite to eat, and enjoy the festivities the night has to offer.
Two women, Casandra Rodela from the Orange County area and Nataly Canales, 34, from Santa Ana, who created their own altars dedicated to their past loved ones.
