The Inter-Club Council meeting attracted many Cerritos College students and clubs around campus at BK 111 on Aug. 25.
Students and clubs were giving information about Cerritos College and club events.
For example, on Sept. 19 clubs will create floats for the blood drive.
With more than 40 students and club members attending, from the EOPS club to the iFalcon club, interested students looked forward to the fall semester like business administration major Daniel Faragoso, who is also the ICC commissioner.
“I feel really good and know it’s going to be a good semester,”Faragoso said.
He also explained that ICC meetings are a good way to inform clubs and students on upcoming events.
Another club attending the ICC meeting was the iFalcon, club represented by math major Raquel Ramirez.
She explains that her club will be hosting a fundraising event Sept. 22 in Falcon Square.
She added that it will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.,when the winner will get a trophy and plaque in the ASCC office for the year to come.
Ramirez also added that the ICC meeting went well and was happy to inform students on iFALCON events, and said, “I think this is the best way for clubs to get their ideas out to student.”
She said that this semester she has seen more new students that are motivated on being involved with clubs.
Another student that attended was Justin McIntyre, who explained for being his first ICC meeting, it got him motivated and looking forward for the fall semester.
Mcintyre also said he learned about clubs he didn’t know existed at Cerritos like the broadcasting club and added that he is looking forward to working with other clubs.
Political science major Marian Magallon said that this semester she noticed many new faced.
“I think this time there are more people that are interested in joining clubs and I think this is a good way to exchange ideas and work with each other,” said Magallon.
One of the people helping with the ICC meeting was Coordinator of Student Activities Amna Jara, who explained that everything went well during the meeting and added it’s a good way to kick off the fall semester.
“I appreciated the ICC representatives that showed up and I see a lot of new faces that I am excited about,“ Jara said.
