With ASCC President Jasmine Ramirez’s term ending this semester, Cerritos College prepares for elections coming April 11th and 12th. Aspiring politically motivated students need to meet certain requirements in order to run for office. Staff writer Juan Lopez speaks to administration on what is to be expected from would-be candidates.

With Facebook stock going public this year, taxes levied towards the purchasing of stocks will generate revenue that would go into the states dwindling coffers.
Staff writer German Lara explains to just how much this will benefit Cerritos College.

The modern world will hit the parking lots here at Cerritos College with the modernization of daily parking permit sales machines. Now fumbling for change or dealing with ripped or wrinkled dollar bills will be a problem of the past with new machines that accept debit and credit cards. Staff writer Martin Calderon reporting.

With factions of the ASCC desperate and determined to leave their marks in policy here at Cerritos College, proposals to amend the Fall Award protocols have been met with presidential veto’s and a failed attempt to overrule. Staff writer Alexa Bazua takes ‘Campus News Hour’ into the eye of the storm in an attempt to clear the smoke for the student body.

Seasoned alumni are returning to the Burnight Center Theater and bringing their professional experiences to the play ‘The Rimers of Edlrich.’ Managing and Multimedia Editor Lucia Sarabia speaks to returning thespians on what students can look forward to.

After besting El Camino College, the Cerritos College Women’s Basketball team has yet another formidable opponent on the horizon. College of the Canyons has proven to be a powerful scoring team that will prove to be no easy win. Staff writer Phil Okoli reporting.

This weeks Talon Mark’s ‘Campus News Hour’ Album review trains it’s ears on ‘The Cranberries’ new release; ‘Roses.’ Filling a 7 year gap between releases, The Cranberries are attempting to retain loyal fans as well as attempting to acquire new ones. News Editor Enrique Rivera gives his honest assessment of this new release.

Struggling and stylish students here at Cerritos College can take a fashionable refuge at the Cosmetology Department for the latest hair styles, facials as well as waxing and threading for a fraction of the price of the real world. Arts Editor Rosie Montes gets ‘Dolled Up’ for ‘Campus News Hour.’

Class and culture blossoms once more at the Burnight Center Theater by way of William Shakespeare’s beautiful tragedy ‘Romeo & Juliet.’ Auditions for this most prestigious play were held earlier this month with eager acting majors vying for rolls. Staff writer Juan Lopez reporting.

This years ‘Miss Cerritos Contest’ brings plenty of opportunity for young determined women by way of meeting local influential people in the community with the benefit of advancing in their perspective careers. But to some students, the contest reeks of ‘Beauty Pageant’ and is seen as an insulting, old tradition that has seen it’s day, but is no longer relevant to these modern times. This weeks Talon Mark’s ‘Campus News Hour’ music review and opinion sets it’s sights on the influence of electronic music in the modern era. Opinion Editor Miguel Hernandez peels the layers away to explain how this new method of music has forever changed what we tap our toes to.

This weeks Talon Mark’s ‘Campus News Hour’ Movie Review takes us to Wunderlust, a comedy about the redirection of a couples lives after a career breakdown. Staff Writer Tania Olivas takes us through hippie nudist colonies and ridiculous situations.
