An ethnicity, gender and age report of Cerritos College has been released on the fall issue of the In Sight magazine.
With Cerritos College serving 24,344 students this past spring, the results of the gender census are as follows.
There are 10,578 male students while there are 13,135 female students while 621 are unknown.
This has many female students excited that they are the predominant sex on campus.
“I think it’s awesome that there are more women on campus, usually there are always more guys everywhere,” said Bria Laurito, physical education major.
Some of the results have many students surprised with the results, “Wow, I could have sworn that there are way more dudes around here,” German Lopez, undecided major, jokingly said.
In terms of ethnicity, Hispanics take the crown with 13,650 students followed from a distance by white students 3,023 and unknown students with 2,290.
The results have also exposed that the majority of students on campus are between the ages of 20-24 with over 8,428 students fitting into this demographic.
