“Dragonball Z: Burst Limit” for the X-Box 360 and PS3 is based on the popular TV series, “Dragonball Z.”
The game goes from single player to online multible players
Long story short, if you’re a “Dragonball Z” fan, you will not like this game.
This is probably one of the worst games ever made about this series, much worse than “Ultimate Battle 22.”
The playable characters are:
- Goku
- Gohan(Young and Teen)
- Krillin
- Piccolo
- Tien
- Yamcha
- Raditz
- Nappa
- Saibamen
- Vegeta
- Ginyu
- Recoome
- Freiza
- Bardock
- Android(s) 16-18
- Cell
- Furture Trunks
- Broly
It starts off with the basic Sayian Saga, which led me to believe it would be good, but then I saw the “Drama Mode,” which would stop randomly in the middle of the game for a five-minute speech for the opponent or the player.
That got old really fast.
In Freiza Saga, it was missing a lot of the Ginyu Force.
It only goes up to Cell Games, but does not feature Cell Jr. or Dr. Gero.
It didnt even cover the Hyperbolic Training parts or Goku’s heart disease. That had me really angry.
Two movies were covered, the “Bardock” movie and “Broly,” so that gives this game an up.
Bardock becomes a playable character after beating the Frieza saga and the Bardock level, as well as Broly.
I really loved the Broly level. Honestly, this is the only reason why I continued to play this game.
They really screwed up the storyline in this game.
I had more fun playing the “Legacy of Goku” series (which is a great series by the way), but that’s saying a lot since it was a game for the GameBoy Advance.
The game was too easy. I had this game finished the same day I got it.
So it wouldn’t be a time killer, since it doesnt kill that much time.
The fighting part was a bit complicated at first, same with the specials, but after about maybe three or four attempts, people should get the hang of it.
The graphics were awesome.
The ki blast collision was epic, but what was better was the special move collison like the Kamehameha collided with the Galick Gun.
Actually, any special was just a beautiful sight for any gamer.
Other than the graphics, this is just an okay game.
The other additions to the game is the campaign mode, which is 100 battles until the gamer loses.
It’s the same characters over just randomized after every 20.
The game also has an online ability were you can host campain modes with other people.
This is just a remake of “Budokai.”
The company could have at least put in Cell Jr., or Great Saiyaman, or at least the rest of the Ginyu force.
Hercule would have been good at least.
I give this game a four out of five for graphics, and a one out of five for the actual game play.
