“You Found Me” is one of many excellent tracks that materialized from the Fray’s latest album self-titled, “The Fray.”
Profoundly written, most of the songs on the album are highly insightful and can soften even the most inattentive heart.
Whether or not the listener can relate to the lyrics is irrelevant once the music starts to play.
The guitar riffs on “Say When” coincide perfectly with the powerful but steady beat of the drums and bass.
“Never Say Never” begins with the eerie melody of a single piano and is fused with the help of the affectionate lyrics, creating a feeling of nostalgia for something that is not had.
Lyrics such as “Picture, you’re the queen of everything. Far as the eye can see under your command. I will be your guardian when all is crumbling. I’ll steady your hand,” pulls “Never Say Never” together, making it one of the best songs on the album.
As opposed to “Never Say Never,” “Where The Story Ends” begins with an equally excellent yet still dissimilar up-beat sound of the piano and drums.
Unlike most modern bands, the Fray does not annoyingly change their genre of music between or in the middle of a song, making its album very easy to listen to.
The exquisite music along with the outstanding lyrics makes this album an exceptional purchase.
The Fray’s self-titled album will continue to amaze its audience regardless of the number of times a person listens to it.
