Seth Contreras, PhD works directly with cities to help them think through – critically and creatively – sustainable mobility solutions that keeps their economy moving, their air clean and the people active. He currently works for Fehr & Peers in Long Beach, a private transportation planning consulting firm whose mission is to improve communities through evidence-based best practices. Seth graduated from Cerritos College in 2005 with his AA in Natural Sciences.
Seth received his Masters in Transportation Engineering from UC Berkeley then spent two years at the Port of Long Beach helping them accelerate their Green Port, Clean Air program. In 2014 he performed professionally in Mexico City with the national Ballet Folklorico De Mexico dance company.
After receiving his PhD from UC Irvine in Transportation Planning, he worked for three years with a think-tank in Washington, DC on sustainable mobility. He also teaches Land Use and Transportation Planning in the Sol Price School of Public Policy at USC.
