Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead
by Tom Stoppard
Directed by Brandt Reiter
SYNOPSIS: Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are characters in William Shakespeare's Hamlet who are childhood friends of the prince. King Claudius summons them to distract Hamlet from his apparent madness and to try to discover its cause. However, the two friends are more interested in financial gain and are willing to spy on Hamlet and plot against him. They are depicted as silly and unintelligent, and they often take orders from others with more power.
