The psychology club held a bake sale last Tuesday to raise money for victims of Hurricane Katrina.
The sale was held in the student center. Shelly Mulock, psychology major, said the sale was held to encourage students to, “give what they can.”
She explains, “This fundraiser is for a good cause.”
Chrissy Guzman, psychology major, agrees, “Students should donate whatever they can.”
Furthermore, she says that it doesn’t matter what the donation whether it be one dollar or one penny.
The reason, Guzman says, is that she believes victims of Katrina “will be touched by what the club is doing.”
As students lined up to help out with donations during the sale, Diana Esquer, undecided major, said that what the club is doing is “a good thing.”
Carlos Salas, president of the psychology club, said, “All 25 members of the club pitched in”
In spite of the weather, he added, “It worked out.”
The psychology club meets every Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Room SS-215.
