The Cerritos College Carrer Service Center held a job fair on the Library Sidewalk on Oct 14.
All around the library were many stands of different places offering jobs for students to help pay for college, and some offered transfers for when students obtain their AA Degree.
A majority of the stands were police deparpments looking to recruit students into joining the force, same with the U.S Army. The Army offered to help pay for college and give a starting salary of 1300+ a month.
Avon a jewlery store which has been at Cerritos College job fairs before offers part time jobs, and by signing up you will gain entrpeuner skills.
Think Together is a non profit after school enrichment program which offers its employees the chance to help young students from the local ares in an after school program get involved with school activities.
Raymond Nunez, Admin of Criminal Justice major said “Its okay i guess, but they can have better jobs though.”
But all around from local businesses like Target to big time organizations like the Army jobs were offered all around the campus.
