Anxious fans crowded the lines at movie theatres everywhere, November 21, as they nervously waited to find out if the highly anticipated Twilight was sold out.
Twilight, starring Kristen Stewart as “Bella” and Robert Pattinson as “Edward”, pierced its audience with a sharp debut filled with action and unconditional “romance.”
Girls throughout the room swooned as they witnessed their first sight of the gorgeous vampire Edward Cullen, and were immediately tainted as his beauty sunk its teeth into their hearts.
Robert Pattinson perfectly portrayed the many mood changes in Edward’s facial expressions and his voice flawlessly emphasized the passion in Edward’s every word.
Although, many people seemed to be lacking competent judgment when they walked out of their house, as numerous were seen identically wearing Edward Cullen t-shirts.
There is absolutely no need to form an idiotic army of Edward T-shirt clones, especially since half of the people who saw or plan to see the movie did not even read the book
Unlike Pattinson, Stewart was not the correct choice to potray her character, Bella. Stewart did not seem to have any enthusiasm toward her role and was not even remotely physically attractive.
Stewart’s face remained blank, hardly changed expressions, and to top it off, she looked high throughout the entire movie.
Stewarts acting did not accentuate the many dramatic lines that she was given. Her vague acting does not deserve praise.
Bella and Edward’s so-called “relationship” on screen visually manifested itself as more of an obsessive and creepy lust, not love.
While Twilight was modernized a bit in order to appeal to its audience, it still followed true to the original plot from the novel, with the exception of a disappointing ending.
The end should have been left as it was in the novel.
This movie is definitely not for the mature of mind. Twilight is more likely to appeal to young teenagers and pre-teens seeing as they lack the competent sophistication to know that it is not as enjoyable as the book.
