The Pathways Programs Department held its open house on Nov. 3 to show the Cerritos College community its new offices.
Tables full of goodies such as chips, cookies and chocolates welcomed guests interested in exploring the new facilities. To the left entrance is the Economic Development office and the Research and Grants office.
These new offices are still not permanent and are considered swing space. “There is still no timeframe, ” says Nathan Durdella, director of research and planning, in regards to how long they will be in these offices.
They are in no rush though, since Durdella states, “these offices are more central; closer to the center of campus.”
The Foster and Care offices were the recipients of a computer donation done by Best Buy. They will also be donating two more computer terminals that will be used by the foster youth for resumes, and homework.
The computers will be available free of charge for those that are enrolled in the foster youth program.
Lori Switanowski states, “We love the new offices. We are very grateful to Cerritos (College).”
