As the Inter-Club Council meeting was called to order on March 12 at 11 a.m., a list of topics were discussed, starting with Hoe Down Days.
A three-day long event, Hoe Down Days kicked off on March 17 and will end on March 19.
Coordinator of Student Activities Dean Ackland assured everyone at the meeting that there would be plenty of entertainment during these days.
The festivities will include carnival booths, a chili cook-off, the Mr. Cerritos Pageant, food from In-N-Out and live music.
One event that will be taking place in Falcon Square during Hoe Down Days on March 19 is the event held by the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation.
The Court Reporting Club announced at the ICC meeting that it was promoting the live search-and-rescue demonstrations that the NDSDF will be performing in Falcon Square across from the In-N-Out truck.
Court Reporting Club President Carla-Maria Marquez said, “NDSDF is a remarkable foundation that takes rescued dogs and helps transform them into dogs that help rescue and save lives.”
Nathalie Chavez, commissioner of ICC, announced that student body presidential applications and student trustee applications are now available.
She also forewarned students that the deadline to turn the applications in is on March 20, no later than 3 p.m.

Sponsored by Cerritos College Fitness and Wellness Department, the walk will be on March 24 at 11 a.m.
