Senior Preview Day is scheduled to take place on April 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The schedule is:
- 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. will be the Welcome Rally,
- 9:40 a.m. – noon will be tours and presentations and
- Noon to 1 p.m. will be lunch with live music.
Senior Preview day is where local and non-local high school students come to the campus and are shown around to decide if they would wish to come to Cerritos as a choice after high school.
The presentations will divide the students at random and give them an opportunity to look at one of four options academic vocation, student service, athletics and student activites.
More than 20 schools will attend with more than 1,000 people, with schools such as Downey High, Firebaugh High, Banning High, and Huntington Park High.
“This is to get the prospective students aquainted with our campus, and programs,” said Shirley Arceo, coordinator of School Relations. “In two words, it’s our open house.”
Volunteers will be needed and the benefits of it will be to earn volunteer hours for your club, get a free Senior Preview Day T-Shirt and a free lunch.
Club booths will be wanted to present to the upcoming students to ponder, and help them decide a carrer for their future.
