The ASCC Cabinet discussed about how iFALCON has received another $500 for the iFALCON scholarship foundation, the future plans for the campus involves more beautification and the plans for the reflection pool will be postponed on May 4.
The total amount of money for the iFALCON scholarships is $1,500 and is enough for three people.
The money has been raised through fundraisers such as the car wash.
The paperwork to file for the scholarships is in the Financial Aid Office.
The requirements for the scholarships are a minimum of a 3.0 GPA, 12 units, and must write an essay explaining what Cerritos College has done for you.
There are no specific majors to be qualified to sign up for these scholarships.
“It’s inclusive, and doesn’t require a specific major. It’s for students who work hard and take pride in their work,” ASCC President Michael Barrita said.
In the plans for the original construction, the square was planned to be replaced with another building. But thanks to the ASCC, it wasn’t.
Also, the ASCC plans to add trees and beautify the area by the soon-to-be reflection pool.
The fountain will not be there as planned due to reasons unknown.
But Barrita gives his best wishes to Oscar Franco as the next ASCC President, as this surely was a tearful meeting as it was the last of the semester.
