Cerritos College’s soccer team’s starting foward, Luis Gonzalez, was named the National Soccer Coaches Association of America’s(NSCAA) Player of the Year.
‘I never expected this,’ said Gonzalez as I asked him his thoughts on being named the NSCAA’s Player of the Year. ‘This is the biggest accomplishment of my life,’ he added.
Gonzalez, a sophmore, finished his second season as a falcon not only being named National Player of the Year, but also State finals MVP, the California Community Colleges Athletic Assocition’s(CCCAA) October male athlete of the month, and a two time All-American and South Coast Conference Player of the Year.
