The Faculty Senate approved 11 candidate applications for sabbatical leave on Tuesday at the Faculty Senate meeting.
President Linda Lacy said the sabbatical leaves will cost approximately $200,000 to fund.
‘Essentially you are paying for classes that are not being offered, and the students that aren’t being served,’ she said.

‘I would love to go to one of these, but I didn’t even fill one out,’ said professor of mathematics Scott O’Neil, ‘I consider this to be a waste of money.’
