The City of Cerritos is hosting a Miss Cerritos scholarship contest for young ladies that are looking to gain and develop their professional opportunities and represent the city of Cerritos throughout the year.’

The Miss Cerritos scholarship is an opportunity for young ladies to gain professional networking skills, strong speaking and interviewing skills.

It will also give Miss Cerritos the chance to make contacts within the Cerritos business community and to help pursue her professional career.

The program ‘ teaches you networking skills, marketing skills with powerful training. It invites women to participate in mixers along with C.E.O’s of businesses throughout cerritos.’

Miss Cerritos will represent the city at all events throughout the year of 2010-2011.

She will receive a crown, a sash and will also get to ride with the mayor of Cerritos in next year’s Rose Parade.

The program is looking for females with professionalism, poise, a positive attitude and some acute social skills.

Miss Cerritos will be represented as the city’s ambassador.’this is not a pageant, not based on beauty,this is a program to help you to become the best you,you can be.’

After the year is completed they encourage you to stay in touch and still participate with the next Miss Cerritos and her Princess. You are able to use the program for references such as school,or even jobs.If you are interested in going to the oreintation, it will be held at the Chambers office located 13259 South St. (2nd floor).
