Since the Cerritos College Police Department started vying to carry firearms on campus last year, there have been several presentations to help inform the Cerritos College population.
The first vote, which took place last month, had the measure passing at Vintage Cerritos.
The Classified employee vote also passed early last month with a vote total of 151 to 25.
The ASCC vote will take place later this month and the faculty has not yet confirmed a date to view the presentation by campus police.
“I think it is a very important decision, I wish students could somehow vote, I have not even heard of the issue, much less a way we could voice our opinion,” undecided major, Angelica Anchondo, said.
The final decision will come from the Board of Trustees once it views the presentation and votes on it.
A date or time has not been established yet.
