The Cerritos College women’s basketball team won its sixth consecutive game against El Camino College with the score of 79-42. The top scorer for the game was freshman forward Andrina Rendo with 15 points on Friday.

“We worked hard, we all played as a team, we all looked out for each other and helped each other out on offensive side, we all contributed.” Rendo said.

With El Camino only having six players on its roster, the lady Falcons had the advantage.

“They worked hard and they never gave up even with only six players. I felt the score was okay, we all contributed and that’s what led to our win.” she said.

As the first half ended, the Falcons led the score with 37-17.

“Every game we try and get better at something, we were really working on our rebounding and not giving offensive boards.” Head Coach Karen Welliver said.

“Everybody that was in stayed engaged, they really were good teammates, they were cheering for each other and they worked really hard.”  Welliver said.
