Saturday morning at 10 a.m., the Cerritos track and Field team hosted an All-Comers meet.
Not just students from Cerritos College, but also anyone from the community was also able to compete in such events as the 1,500 meters and 600 meter race.
Many of the competitors had their Cerritos uniforms on while the others had on clothes that were not affiliated with the college in any way.
For most of the runners like freshman Adrianna Raya, this meet was suppose to help them choose what events they were comfortable doing the upcoming season.
“It helped me see that I can do better and that I sometimes underestimate myself,” Raya said on how the meet helped her. She came in third in the 1500 meters.
Next for the Men and Women of the Cerritos College track and Field team is another All-Comers meet that will be at Mount San Antonio College at 12 p.m. on Feb. 11.
After that the team will Host an invitational on the 18thand the 19thof this month.
