The second International Tea Time, a presentation hosted by the International Student Association, was held in Social Science building 138 on Sept. 28. This presentation was the second in a series that will continue throughout the semester.

Homecoming festivities will maintain its time honored traditions with Homecoming Court elections, Court Introductions, Activity Night, The Mock Rally, Homecoming Week which consists of building the Homecoming Floats by the various campus clubs. Floats will be judge that weekend. Students are encouraged to participate and get to know their fellow student body.

Disney’s ‘Lion King’ is being re-released in 3D or 2D in theaters as well as a debut in Blue Ray. Nostalgia is propelling ‘Lion King’ to Disney’s 3rd largest grossing animated film. Replacing ‘Moneyball’ in the top spot in the box office, Disney has decided to extend ‘Lion King’s’ theatrical release.

The Cerritos College women’s volleyball team got their first conference win over East Los Angeles College. Cerritos won three of the four sets (17-25, 25-10, 25-20, 25-17) setting the pace of the match in the second set.

After Falcons Football won two games in a row making them No. 4 community college football team in the state, No. 1 team Saddleback College’s running back Donnell Dickerson pushed Falcons back, ending in a 56-21 loss for Cerritos College football team on Saturday at Saddleback.

Even though Jake Harrison at 125 pounds took first place in his weight class, it was not enough to keep Cerritos College wrestling team at No. 2. As a team, Cerritos took fifth place at the Santa Ana Tournament on Saturday at Santa Ana College.
