The International Students Association of Cerritos College celebrated The Philippines in its 3rd International Tea Time event of the fall 2011 semester on Wednesday in room SS138 with more than 30 people showing up to celebrate.
President of the International Students Association Abner “Ace” Caguioa lead the presentation with other Filipino students like Alexander Jeane Mathias Medallo aka Aljen Medallo, Rachel “Ray” Villanueva, and Ron Cordova.
Throughout the presentation the international tea time for the Philippines committee showed the ISA traditional food, music, clothing and activities done in his country.
Some traditional Filipino food given out to students was lumpia with noodles.
Activities done by members of the committee included traditional dances and games played in the Philippines.
ISA President “Ace” Caguioa was delighted impressed by the commitment shown from the members of the committee during the presentation.
“Coming from the Philippines is nice to have this tea time where we as a community can show the students the bondage of cultures we have on ISA” Caguioa said.
Caguia expects to have an International Tea Time for Kenya in the next couple of weeks.
The International Students Association meets every Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in SS138.
