The Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance will host a play called “Marx in Soho” on Monday, Oct 17.
History major, Tania Torres put the play together as an assignment.
“It is based on the philosophy and politics of Karl Marx as well as his personal life,” Torres said.
Torres explained what she hopes students will get out of the play. “[The play] is about understanding what communism is and the importance of it to sociology.”
“Marx in Soho” is mostly a 70-minute monologue-starring actor, Bob Weick.
Philosophy major and vice president of the philosophy club Vania Caro commented on the upcoming play.
“This play really touches in key philosophical issues.”
It will be located in the Teleconference Center LC 155.
There will be two performances on Monday. The first performance will be at 12:30 p.m. and the second is at 5:30 p.m. with free admission.
