The International Students Association (ISA) and Cinematic Arts Club (CAC) joined together to create the first-ever “Horror Movie Night” event of Cerritos College on November 1st, 2011 with more than 50 people showing up.
The event was held at the hill with the movies being shown on a big screen television.
The clubs showcased “The Exorcist” and Korean film “The Tale of Two Sisters” making it a multicultural event.
Throughout the movie, concessions were sold and the students in attendance were served popcorn, nachos, hot chocolate, candy, sodas and other snacks by the members of the clubs, even taking them to their own seats.
President of the International Students Association Abner “Ace” Caguioa believes this event will promote both the ISA and Cinematic Arts Club throughout campus in a new and creative way.
“The Horror Movie Night was in the plans of both ISA and (CAC) from the beginning of the semester and I am glad it finally happened” Caguioa said.
President of Cinematic Arts Club Richard Carlos invites any student who wants to develop their skills in the world of Cinematography to join with all film students and promote the art across campus.
The Cinematic Arts Club meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday from 5:45 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in room BC-47.
The ISA meets every Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in SS-138
